Same bench, same approach — the wiring and components inside your guitar, not the woodwork. If the fault is electrical, it's work I'm set up to do properly.

Based in Congleton. Bring it in and we'll sort it.

01 · Fault Diagnosis & Repair

Find it. Fix it.
No surprises.

Dead output, cutting out intermittently, hum that wasn't there before — traced to the actual cause, explained in plain language, and quoted before any repair work begins. If we can't fix it, you don't pay.

02 · Pots, Jacks & Switches

The quick jobs,
done right.

Scratchy volume or tone control, a loose output jack, a blade or toggle switch that doesn't feel right — these are the common faults, and most of them are a short bench job. Cleaned or replaced, depending on what makes sense.

03 · Pickup Swaps & Wiring

New pickups.
New looms.

Pickup swaps fitted and set up correctly. Full wiring looms built from scratch and installed — whether you're replacing a tired factory loom or specifying something non-standard. Active circuits and onboard preamps are also within scope.

What comes to my bench is the wiring and the components. I don't do setups, fretwork, nut cuts or refinishing — I'm not a luthier, and I won't pretend otherwise. If your guitar needs any of that alongside the electrical work, I'm happy to point you to a setup tech.

How it works
1

Get in touch

Describe the fault — make, model, and what it's doing. A quick description usually tells me whether it's electrical. I'll come back to you promptly.

2

Diagnosis & quote

On the bench I'll find the fault, explain it plainly, and quote the repair before starting. Parts are quoted separately before anything is ordered.

3

Bring it in

Most jobs are quick — a loose jack or a tired pot is often sorted in under an hour. Parts are quoted before I order anything. No fix, no fee on fault diagnosis.
