DriftTone is an audio electronics workshop in Congleton, Cheshire. We service and repair valve amplifiers and tube amps — and guitar effects pedals of any make.
Players trust us with gear that means something to them. Vintage amps, boutique pedals, instruments with history. We take that seriously. Everything is quoted before work begins, you're kept updated throughout, and if we can't fix it you don't pay. That's not a policy — it's just how honest work should go.
The pedal side came from the same place. Too many effects do too much — they overwhelm, they perform, they demand attention. We wanted something quieter. Every DriftTone pedal is hand-built in the UK with real care: quality components, time taken, everything tested properly before it leaves the bench. Effects that drift into your signal chain and just belong there.
We're based in Congleton, Cheshire, and work with players across the UK. Most repair jobs can be handled by post — get in touch and we'll sort it out.
We work on valve and tube amplifiers of any make or age — Fender, Marshall, Vox, Matchless, boutique and everything in between.
On all repair work. If we can't identify or fix the fault, you don't pay for the repair. We quote before starting — no surprises.
Every job is assessed and quoted before any work begins. If something unexpected comes up, we'll tell you before doing anything about it.
Every DriftTone pedal is hand-wired to order. Not batched, not rushed. Built properly and tested properly before it leaves.
If something isn't worth fixing — because the cost outweighs the value — we'll tell you that too. No unnecessary work.
